U.S. Botanic Garden
Based on George Washington’s vision for a botanic garden in the nation’s capital, The U.S. Botanic Garden is one of the National Mall’s most notable museums. Located on the grounds of the Capitol, the Botanic Garden is home to several thousand plants split between its Conservatory, Bartholdi Park, and Production Facility.

National Gallery of Art
The National Gallery of Art is home to one of the finest art collections. The Gallery is free to the public all year round, open every day except for Christmas and New Year’s Day. National Museum of the American Indian
The National Museum of the America Indian is located on the National Mall between the Capitol and the Air & Space Museum. The NMAI is the first national museum to solely focus on American Indian culture and history.
The museum does not have any on-site parking. Metered street parking and parking garages on surrounding streets are available. Parking spots fill up fast around the National Mall so the best option is to reserve parking ahead of time.
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
Located on the Mall at the corner of 7th Street and Independence Avenue, SW, the Hirshhorn Museum is considered one of the ‘Big Five’ modern art museums in the United States. The Hirshhorn has no parking facilities but there are several garages and lots within blocks of the Museum.
National Museum of African Art
The National Museum of African Art is open and free to the public to immerse themselves in African art and culture. The main entrance is located in the Enid Haupt Garden on Independence Avenue. Parking is limited around the National Museum of African Art. Surrounding streets have metered parking and garages available.
