Parking near the Capitol
The Capitol is located on the east end of the National Mall. There is minimal street parking available close to the Capitol. Limited street parking is located to the west of the Capitol along the National Mall. Parking garages within blocks of the Capitol are available. Reserve your parking for your visit to the U.S. Capitol.
Parking near the Washington Monument
The Washington Monument, located at the intersection of 15th Street and Madison Drive, NW, has limited parking options in its vicinity. There is general parking offered along Maine Avenue, SW or Ohio Drive, SW. Note that street parking is often limited to 2 or 3 hours in D.C. There are also parking garages close to the Washington Monument, reserve the best spot for your designated amount of time here.
Parking near the Lincoln Memorial
When heading to the Lincoln Memorial, there is metered parking available along Ohio Drive, SW located between the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. The Lincoln Memorial itself is located at the intersection of Independence Avenue, SW and Daniel Chester French Drive, SW. To avoid the parking hassle all together, use the Foggy Bottom Metro stop on the Orange or Blue lines. If you are driving to the National Mall, the best option would be reserve parking close to the Lincoln Memorial ahead of time to avoid parking at a metered spot with a minimal 2-hour parking limit.
Parking near the Jefferson Memorial
The Jefferson Memorial is located at the southern end of the National Mall. There is parking along Ohio Drive, a five minute walk away from the Jefferson Memorial. Keep in mind these spots will go fast and if you do land a spot, there is a 2-hour limit. To remove the worry of parking restrictions, reserve a parking spot ahead of time close to the Jefferson Memorial and you’ll be able to set the length of time you’ll need to enjoy the National Mall.

To visit the World War II Memorial, limited street parking is available along Maine Street, SW. The WWII Memorial is located at the intersection of 17th Street and Independence Avenue, SW. The closest street parking is located on Independence Avenue. These spots go quick, so reserve parking nearby the WWII Memorial ahead of time. Parking near the MLK Memorial
The Martin Luther King Memorial is the newest monument featured on the National Mall. The MLK Memorial is located at West Basin Avenue and Independence Avenue, SW. It is located near the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. Parking options include the Tidal Basin lot on Maine Avenue, SW or street parking on West Basin Avenue. Parking near the FDR Memorial
The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is located along the western shore of the Tidal Basin. Best parking near the FDR Memorial would be along Ohio Drive SW or West Basin Drive SW. Keep in mind that street parking is limited to two hours. To fully enjoy the memorial and all of the National Mall, look into reserving nearby parking beforehand.
Parking near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
The Vietnam Wall is located north of the Lincoln Memorial, at 22nd Street and Constitution Avenue, NW, and lists close to 60,000 fallen veterans’ names. Limited parking is available along Ohio Avenue, SW. If you are driving to the National Mall, consider reserving parking ahead of time. Public transportation via the Metro is another option. The Foggy Bottom stop along the Blue or Orange lines would get you closest to the Vietnam Vets Memorial.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is near the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall. To visit the powerful Korean War memorial, the closest parking is located along Ohio Street, SW. These spots are hard to come by so a more secure option is to reserve parking close to the Korean War Veterans Memorial before you head to the National Mall.
